“Break Down the Wall of Prejudice; Take a Step, Learn the Truth” Event

As part of the Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing course, an event titled “Break Down the Wall of Prejudice; Take a Step, Learn the Truth” was held to raise public awareness about schizophrenia.

The event, supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Gülçin Demirdil, was supported by fourth-year Nursing Department students Atike Nisa Gülmüş, Berranur Yılmaz, Leyla Büyükertaş, Selvi Naz Polatoğlu, Songül Önder, Sudenaz Garip, and Yağmur Türkoğlu.

The event aimed to raise awareness based on scientific and accurate information by highlighting the common prejudices regarding schizophrenia found in society. Conducted through active interaction with students visiting the booth, the event contributed to increasing social awareness in the field of mental health.
